We are seeking to appoint various Food and Beverage Assistants to join our dynamic F&B department.

Customer Service and Guest Experience are really important factors at Madingley Hall and so our staff pride themselves in delivering exceptional service across our many areas of business.

Every day is unique at Madingley Hall and no two days are the same which offers staff a variety to their working week but also provides ample opportunity to learn and develop new skills along the way.

Madingley Hall is a beautiful venue set in expansive grounds, and just a few miles from Cambridge city centre. Parking is freely available to staff, and a bus service runs close by. There are currently around 150 staff working at the Institute, comprising a mix of academic, administrative, and hospitality-based roles.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Providing excellent service and experience to guests in various locations around the site, including the dining and conference areas, the bar and on-site café
  • Liaise with customers regarding food and beverage requirements
  • Prepare conference and dining areas for bookings
  • Clear down specific areas ready for the following service
  • Maintain cleanliness in service areas and F&B kitchen areas
  • Comply with all Hygiene and Safety Regulations and Departmental Policies
  • Have attention to detail to ensure all prepared rooms are of a high standard
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage your workload individually and to work to a timed schedule to achieve a smooth and efficient service

The Ideal Candidates Will Have

  • Previous experience in Hospitality, but not essential
  • A flexible attitude and approach to methods of work with a willingness to learn new skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills in order to liaise with internal and external customers
  • A clean, tidy and presentable appearance

Successful applicants will have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and independently while in a fast-paced environment.
