About the job
The Shore Group have partnered with a Privately-Owned Fit Out organisation located in London for the recruitment of a Strategy Director to join their Design & Build (D&B) Office Fit Out company. Our client is an Award-Winning Group who have invested heavily in their D&B operation. This has resulted in the requirement to build on their existing admirable track record of both new and repeat business with the appointment of a Strategy Director
Our client is seeking to expand their vertical market strategy namely within the Technology, Creative, Finance, Legal and the disruptive ‘start-ups’ businesses. As Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for building on both existing and new relationships using both Direct and Indirect Marketing Networking opportunities to bolster your client base. You will be responsible for mapping the Fit-Out market using proven networking strategies. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be fully supported by your team to ensure the moment a client is captured you will work in parallel to ensure a project is secured.
You will come with an untarnished reputation showing commitment to previous employers through your tenure with an admirable following of agents, consultant’s, clients and related individuals.

- Base Salary £100 – 130k+

Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for generating new business and nurturing existing relationships and opportunities.
· Enhance and maintain your professional profile within the Fit-Out industry.
Develop and maintain client relationships across key disciplines which identifying new business opportunities creating solid vertical market ring fencing strategies.
· Co-ordinate and run various networking events and presentations focusing around key opportunities, existing relationships and new markets.
· Attend relevant functions, conferences and meetings with clients to maximise tendering opportunities.
· Identify new potential clients using your networking capabilities and market knowledge.
· Develop and implement ‘win work strategies’ which is targeted and KPI focused.
· Manage pipeline portfolio to ensure leads are monitored consistency.
· Act as a key business partner to the pre-construction team offering support and guidance during the tendering process for new projects.
· Responsible for developing leads.
· Where appropriate, ensure a cross-sell of the Groups capabilities is shared with both existing and new businesses.
Person Specification
Due to the nature of the role, you will ideally match the following:
· Currently working for (or previous RECENT and RELEVANT experience) a Design & Build Office Fit Out company within a Business Development capacity.
· A network within the consultant and agent fraternity. Also, the Technology, Creative, Media Finance and Legal industry would be highly desirable.
· Your network MUST be in the London area (strong relationships with both clients and consultants).
· You will have an unblemished reputation and be able to show through example that you have consistently satisfied your clients evidence by repeat business and references.
· You will be able to demonstrate longevity and progression within the businesses you have worked for.
· You will be a strong negotiator and both highly strategic and cautious with the type of clients you invest your time with ensuring you consider what is overall the best decision for the business.
· You will be a natural salesperson who is both charismatic and astute.
