Smarkets is a peer-to-peer exchange platform for betting and trading on sport and politics. We operate two main consumer products – the Smarkets exchange and SBK sportsbook app – in the UK, US, and other global markets.

We are looking for a Senior Affiliate Marketing Manager to join the rapidly growing acquisition team within our marketing department, and to help us grow and develop our affiliate channel. Reporting to the Head of Growth, you will be responsible for the overall strategy of the affiliate channel, including partner recruitment, onboarding, retention, budget management as well as compliance for the channel. The role will be ROI focused and will require a hands-on approach and attention to detail.

You will develop the affiliate strategy in order to drive the acquisition of valuable new users for the Smarkets and SBK brands focusing on the following KPI’s: “New first time depositors”, “Value of new first time depositors”, “Retention of new first time depositors” and “Payback threshold on all partnerships”. The Senior Affiliate Marketing Manager will plan and monitor the affiliate marketing budget and responsible for the operation of the affiliate marketing tech stack. You will manage all affiliate touch-points in a structured and measurable manner by collaborating with stakeholders across Product, Brand, Analytics, Finance, Legal and Compliance teams. Report on the performance of the affiliate channel and manage and grow the affiliate team.

About You

  • 5+ years of affiliate or partnership management experience
  • Strong commercial awareness, with excellent numeracy, analytical, forecasting and negotiating skills
  • Experience in building affiliate programmes and scaling into new regions and markets
  • Working knowledge of affiliate partner platforms such as income Access and Cellxpert
  • Knowledge in tracking and attribution within the customer acquisition journey
  • A real team player with strong communication skills
  • Be solutions driven, and not afraid to speak up when you see an opportunity for improvement
  • Experience in betting, gaming and financial services sectors preferred
  • A passion for sports and/or the betting industry
