Savant have been retained to run the search campaign for an Fintech Payments Company in hiring their next Head of Finance

This fast growing (3-4x per annum in 2021) crypto-focused payments business, is rapidly migrating to a full banking structure and is looking to boost it’s banking experience. Their objective is to bring banking experience and management bandwidth to allow the CFO to focus on overall business strategy, financial performance and fund raising.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that believes in Out of the Box thinking, re-innovation and reinvestment. You will need to have a strong communicative personality with the ability to manage remotely and be able to bring about change in the form of efficient Structure, Process and System Controls and Implementation.

What you will be involved with as the Head of Finance

The role of Head of Finance will sit above finance and the evolving structure reporting to the Group CFO. The reason the role has been created is due to bandwidth challenges and a desire to increase banking expertise within the management team and the need to build a finance team to meet the needs of the business.

Basic Funtions of the role:

Key criteria: proven ability to build a first class finance team ready for continued change: growth, funding (series B onwards), M&A and exit readiness (IPO or sale).

Direct reports: Financial Controller, FP&A Manager, Product Control Manager (and related teams)

Minimum Requirements for the position

• Prior relevant experience in a regulated banking environment
• Strong in product control, cost control, treasury and reporting
• Strong regulatory reporting/conduct risk knowledge
• Experience building financial controls, systems and processes
• Strong leadership, change and people management (migrating us from a startup towards a firm but fair banking culture) experience
• German language skills important / advantageous
• Netsuite experience helpful
