The Roquette Supply Chain Rotation Program is a two to three-year rotational program designed to develop future business leaders. The program offers early career individuals wanting to grow within the Supply chain the opportunity to gain real-world experience and the foundational skills necessary to become a successful leader at Roquette.

During the program, employees will develop a multitude of professional skills as well as get a better understanding of their strengths and areas of interest. The program will consist of three to four rotations, with length depending upon area and business need. We want to match up your interest along with our business need. We believe in the power of having a well-rounded background, and we want to help YOU find YOUR fit, and prepare you for future leadership roles at our company.

Based on the individuals background and interests, the rotations for this role may include (but are not limited to):

  • Grain Merchandising

  • Category purchasing

  • Supply Planning

  • Demand Planning

  • Transport

  • Logistics

  • Shipping


  • Support in integration of SAP into our daily activities

  • Exposure to all aspects of the supply chain and purchasing function

  • Interface with supply chain’s and purchasing’s internal customers and external supplier

  • Improve performance within the supply chain through special projects

  • Gain understanding of products, processes and people by working with manufacturing and distribution

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes in the purchasing and supply chain function


  • Understand and facilitate the buying/ hedging of corn

  • Working with purchasing leaders to source the best vendors to meet Roquette’s needs

  • Collaborating with suppliers to ensure flawless quality and on-time delivery

  • Manage full RFQ and make sourcing recommendation

  • Help to development commodity strategies, sourcing activities, and project implementation.

  • Research materials and suppliers to develop an expertise related to the commodity supported.

  • Comprehend supply base and how they fit into the purchasing strategies and commodity strategies.

  • Determine cost saving opportunities within supply base through effective sourcing strategies and pricing negotiations.

Supply Chain:

  • Forecast future demand by using the latest statistical forecasting software

  • Ensure customer fill rate expectations are met while maintaining inventory levels

  • Prepare, report, and communicate inventory metrics to management team

  • Team with Manufacturing to plan production on a 4-week rolling basis

  • Participate in various Supply Chain Projects supporting the new system upgrade to SAP

  • Coordinate and facilitate domestic and international shipments to meet our customer needs


  • Analytical/ problem solving skills

  • One supply chain or purchasing related internship experience is strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven track record of accomplishments both inside and outside of the educational setting

  • Ability to establish and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Experience in a leadership role; guiding and directing a team towards a common goal

  • Basic understanding of financial principles

Program Requirements:

  • Educational requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing or related field (i.e. Business Administration, Industrial Operations, etc.) with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Current Class Level: Senior or Graduate. *The program will start in 2022*
