About the job

Job Summary: Manages all activities related to operations and development of customer services by performing the following duties personally or through Supervisors and Management Trainee if applicable.

Responsibilities

· Consistently upholds all Rinchem policies, practices and procedures

· Develops people to their highest potential through necessary training and excellent performance management (hiring, performance appraisals, MMFs, positive feedback, discipline and termination)

· Develops, maintains and deploys operational business plans for the facility to meet corporate Safety, Accuracy, Productivity, Profitability goals; personalizes these goals for all CSC employees

· Ensures proper storage for each product and on-time delivery to customer maintains facility and operational quality standards to ensure a safe warehouse in compliance with corporate goals/policies, showcase guidelines, and compliant with pertinent regulations

· Maintains assets and utilizes them appropriately

· Owns value stream to meet customer demands and expectations regardless of functional and departmental boundaries; leads the creation of current and future state plans and implements the plan to get from current to future state; walks and checks the flow of the value stream daily or weekly; makes implementation a priority

· Ensures that all processes are properly documented, followed and improved as necessary

· Assures that Management Trainee is fully trained in managerial functions and ready for promotion

· Maintains a solid relationship with customers in collaboration with Rinchem Sales Team and ensures all expectations are being met or exceeded, looks for additional opportunities to create new business solutions

· Records defects through POI, cycle times, double check, Paretos and leads efforts to eliminate defects; ensures that all metrics (SAPP, POI, etc.) are communicated and reported timely

· Works in conjunction with administrative service centers including Human Resources, Accounting, Training, Quality, ESH, IT, and Sales to fulfill requirements and meet organizational objectives throughout the company

  • Ensures safety, quality or other team meetings occur, and serves in committee memberships as needed

Qualifications:

In order to qualify for this position, the candidate must complete and maintain certification for the Management Trainee Certification Program. Candidate must insist on being a hand on person, driven by results.

Experience & Education

· Bachelor’s degree or comparable alternative of successful management experience

· Four years of progressive responsibility in a warehouse or logistics setting

· Business development acumen and sales success

Communication Skills

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

· Ability to speak effectively and persuasively before groups of customers or employees of organization

· Ability to effectively relate to all levels of employees, and build and maintain successful relationships

Computer Skills

· Proficiency in applicable programs

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

· Ability to obtain Rinchem Supervisor Certification

· Ability to obtain other certifications as required for position

· Ability to learn and maintain a working knowledge of all regulatory subject matter needed to maintain compliance in warehouse activities

Other Skills and Abilities

· Develop ideas, collaborate with others, present persuasive arguments and successfully deploy continuous improvement initiatives
