Supply Chain Manager | Fast Growth Sustainable Food & Bev Start-Up | London/RemoteHarmonic Operations are excited to be working with one of the most exciting food and beverage start-ups in London. They are using new, innovative technology which removes the need for pasteurisation and allows the use of raw ingredients resulting in dramatically more authentic taste, better nutrition and crucially, means production is far better for the planet.The Leadership team have extensive experience in established Food & Beverage brands and more recently in other start-up and scale-up disruptor brands. They are already stocked in 14 major retailers nationwide including most of the major supermarkets including Ocado and Waitrose (with another significant player expected to stock them on the coming months) they are forecasting £6m Turnover in 2022 and £15m in 2023. In a strong funding position, mid-term growth of 100% YoY is expected as they turn their attention to a launch in the US and some exciting new product launches leaning on their more sustainable production process.Working with B-Corp certified manufacturers and in the process of completing the B-Corp accreditation themselves the Founders are passionate about building a business which is also a force for good. This, of course, is reflected in the product itself but also internally where the culture is inclusive, forward thinking and encourages passionate people to have a massive impact as they scale.Role:As the first hire in Supply Chain working directly with the Co-Founders and wider Leadership team, the Supply Chain Manager will be integral in driving commercial insight and performance.With ownership of the entire Supply Chain function the key value add will be in building out processes and systems to support improved decision making and growth.Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with the founder to build out the operational strategy of the business and actively look to improve processes and systems
  • Management of the current end-to-end supply chain from sourcing of raw materials through to production and finally to distribution of goods
  • Working alongside suppliers in building out robust relationships and partnerships ensuring that the business is working towards the best commercial success
  • Working to identify key areas for improvements and management of the KPIs
  • Management of 3PL
  • Partnering with finance on management of budgets and supporting with insight to help drive commercial performance
  • Working on the planning of NPD – the founder has some exciting new skews that they want to explore as they grow so this position would work to deliver on theseWhat our client would like to see:
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to work with a start-up / SME
  • Broad skillset in being able to manage the end-to-end supply chain
  • Confident communication style
  • Experience in working with grocery retails (Tesco / Asda / Sainsburys / Morrisons etc)What we would like to see (not essential):
  • International or global supply chain experience
