Cloud Security Engineer – 100% REMOTE – £85,000 plus benefits I am currently working on a newly created role for a major financial services organization based in Oxford who are looking to add a Cloud Security Engineer to the team. My client is an innovative technology company who are doing incredible things in their sector and are looking to hire a talented Cloud Security Engineer to help them continue their growth and prosperity. The Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for providing guidance to the software development teams for vulnerability remediation and secure software development, investigating and responding to security incidents, maintaining security policies within ISO27001 and implementing and maintaining CIS benchmark technical security controls. My client has a cloud security team of 4 people right now, and this role would report directly to the Director of Engineering. There are plans to grow the team further in the coming months, and for the right person this role could evolve into a Principal Cloud Security Engineer or Team Leader role. Duties Include: Maintenance and implementation of security controls. Playing a lead role in the design, development, implementation and monitoring of security policy and controls for the appropriate protection of company assets. Working closely with the development team to identify security risks and the steps to mitigate them. Managing projects with multiple stakeholders and engaging with key people at all levels within the organization. Requirements: Prior experience working as a Cloud Security Engineer, ideally within a fintech, financial services or IT services organisation. Extensive knowledge of the Azure cloud-based environment. Technical knowledge and scripting experience using Python and/or PowerShell is a must. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
