Job Title: Shop Support Specialist
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Director of Fleet Maintenance
Job Summary: This position will include cleaning trucks, cleaning the dock, keeping yard maintenance up, loading and unloading parts, and assisting shop departments as needed. The employee will train and work in all departments, providing support, as needed.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and write.
Experience: Previous experience around shop preferred. Knowledge of the Trucking Industry a plus.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Ability to interact and communicate effectively with others. Ability to recognize when action is necessary and to implement the required actions within a reasonable time. Ability to prioritize workflow. Time management skills a must. Ability to learn programs unique to the trucking industry. The position will require attention to detail.
Duties:
- Assists various departments with specific tasks, as assigned
- Cleaning trucks
- Cleaning dock
- Load and unload parts
- Pick up trash on yard and keep property neat
- Responds to communications daily
- Learn primary duties and systems in all departments
- Other duties as may be assigned
