Qualcomm Automotive team is looking for a lead at Director level with industry experience in leading technical development and managing programs as a software integrator and Tier1 in the Automotive space. The engineering manager is expected to work with and deliver to the OEM program needs working internally with development teams and collaborating with eco-system partners.
Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To
- Digital Cockpit Systems design and delivery
- Support definition of program requirements and configuration definitions
- Create and Manage Agile Project planning for end-to-end Digital Chassis Designs
- Help define and support product verification methodology and execution
- Plan and deliver as the SW Tier1 for Product certification and Homologation
- Ensure consistent implementation of ASPICE, Cybersecurity and Safety development practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geographically separate/virtual teams across Qualcomm engineering centers
- Collaborate with and leverage the network of automotive IVI/ADAS/Telematics development community and ecosystem partners
- Lend technical expertise in engaging with Automotive OEMs to offer the right solution, determine/decide the right architecture and approach for the customer requirements
- Build cost optimal solutions with Digital Chassis ECUs with virtualized, Multi-OS platforms in keeping with program objectives
Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following
- 10-15+ years of Hands-On Experience in IVI, ADAS and/or Telematics products
- 6+ years of experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms, tools and ecosystem
- Strong Embedded design, development experience Deep working knowledge of Digital Cockpit system design and Middleware development
- Should have gone through several iterations of end-to-end Digital Cockpit /ADAS/Telematics product development cycles as a Tier1
- Deep understanding of Digital Cockpit System Test and Verification
- Deep understanding of various SOP certification needs, including but not limited to Homologation and Mobile Projection Technologies (Apple CarPlay, Google Auto, etc.), Bluetooth certification, WiFi certification, etc.
- Background in project planning, and a deep understanding of the various activities involved in deploying a Digital Cockpit Product
- Exposure to functional safety architecture to meet ISO26262 standards.
- Strong understanding of QNX/Linux operating system and hands-on experience with QNX/Linux device driver development
- Working knowledge with CAN and various automotive sensors
Preferred Qualifications
Motivated self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to work with engineers/partners/customers across different geographies. Demonstrated experience working with senior management in a corporate environment. Demonstrated experience in business process streamlining and transformation that includes a disciplined approach to digitized services enabling. A hands-on technical lead who is not hesitant to dig into the details where needed to get first-hand knowledge of the issues and play an active and personal role in steering team success.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
- Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
- Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
- Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
- Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

Bachelors – Computer Science, Bachelors – Engineering, Bachelors – Information Systems
Work Experiences
8+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.4+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
