Overview
Join our Roanoke or Folom office as a member of the product team!! A product Intern will have the opportunity to play a role in supporting the implementation of Agile PMO methods, tools and practice. They will be a part of truly meaningful work, leveraging current technologies to solve complex real world business challenges and ultimately he lp students and teachers. You will need to understand the market, our customers’ problems and our business in order to make effective decisions. You will work with key stakeholders and have to be able to clearly communicate about the projects in – flight an d the vision of the product in the future. This role provides an exciting chance to develop new skills while contributing to an organization that is committed improving the K – 12 education experience through innovative technology.
Responsibilities

- P rovid e project management, reporting and process improvement expertise (i nclud ing , but not limited to, the development and delivery of business operations and launch readiness processes, creati ng r eport s , planning and meeting facilitation )
- Consult with colleagu es in order to help translate strategies into targeted actions
- Research and develop product requirements and content for future and current product

- Communicate business and technical requirements of the product to development staff
- Assist with c oordinat in g critical path plan and operational readiness plans, manage issues, risks, and cross – functional dependencies
- Proactively identif y opportunities for improvement and independently influence project partners to promote issue resolution
- Build strong relations hips and alliances with partners across the organization for purposes of continued alignment on work streams, strategic direction, timely execution and transparency
- Provide s upport in creating presentations and communication materials as needed
- Other dutie s as assigned by management
Qualifications
To be considered for and to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Quali fications include:
- Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Graduate degree program
- Exposure to Jira with general understanding of project management and Agile methods/practices preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to effectively manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Able to complete work independently with limited direction and supervision
- Can effectively listen, clarify and respond well to questions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office productivity tools (Word, E xcel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Desire to learn, explore and be challenged
- Interest in working for an organization dedicated to improving the K – 12 education experience
