The role

An opportunity has arisen for a Reward Consultant to be part of a great Reward team. Reporting directly to the Head of Reward Partners & Change, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of a proactive reward service to the Group. You’ll play a key role in developing materials and content to ensure the business is regularly updated on Reward activities, support the HR population in understanding our Reward framework, policies and practices as well as clearly setting out and continually improving our key reward processes. You’ll also have the opportunity to put your analytical and problem solving skills to the test by supporting the team in discreet pieces of work and or / projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Reward Partners & Change, the Reward team, wider HR and business leaders to support the implementation of our reward framework, policies and practices across the Phoenix group.
  • Act as a key point of contact for colleagues across the business and HR for reward activities.
  • Working proactively across the Reward team to produce materials that proactively update and engage HR and the wider business community on reward activities.
  • Map out and document reward processes, continually challenging our ways of working to ensure that these are clear, easy to follow and accessible to HR and people leaders as appropriate.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across HR to continually drive tactical changes that collectively contribute to the evolution of our reward service.
  • Take accountability for discrete pieces of analysis to support the Reward Partners in developing solutions to business problems or in the delivery of change projects.
  • Be able to prioritize multiple demands and connect related projects, policies and systems.
  • Play your part in the annual reward cycles including: salary benchmarking, grading, benefits management, flexible benefits renewal and annual compensation events such as the bonus and salary review.

What are we looking for?

  • Good stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Good understanding of the role of a people leader and the role remuneration plays in leading teams.
  • Good presentation skills in terms of both preparing presentations and presenting these to an audience.
  • Prior experience of process mapping and improvement.
  • A self-starter who seeks out opportunities to make improvements and enhance our Reward service.
  • Good data analytics skills, ideally Intermediate level Excel with capability to produce pivot tables and perform v-look ups as well as basic formulas.
