  • This role offers up to £35,000 p/a depending on experience’

This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of an innovative online learning service that Pearson has launched in the UK. Working in partnership with universities across the UK, the division provides online learning services including marketing, student recruitment, course content development, training and ongoing student support and retention. The team is currently going through a period of unprecedented growth due to a surge in demand for online learning.

In this exciting position you’ll work across multiple university partners supporting the launch of new postgraduate programmes to market. You’ll be responsible for developing engaging content for multi-channel marketing and communication activities globally for both B2C and B2B audiences. You’ll help to ensure content and customer communications are highly engaging and influential, with a strong focus on lead generation and lead conversion stages. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with internal departments including Marketing, Research, Recruitment, Student Services and with external stakeholders and agencies and will be responsible for elements of both project and relationship management.

Reporting to the Digital Content Team Lead, you’ll be responsible for the content development and execution for all elements of a new programme launch s, including copywriting and asset production alongside our Graphic Design team. You’ll also collaborate with external creative and media agencies s and work closely with our SEO Strategist in the production and roll out of their plans.

This is an excellent opportunity for a content marketer who is looking for a role that will expose them to the full marketing mix. As a Digital Content Producer you will benefit from working with Functional Experts including web, SEO, email and paid media, honing your knowledge and expertise as you develop in the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering copywriting aligned with target audiences for channels including web, email, paid media, social and marketing assets e.g. brochures
  • Use existing research and conduct desk research to identify trends and best practice in order to develop audience-relevant and impactful copy/content
  • Managing relationship with key internal stakeholders including Marketing Managers and Graphic Designers
  • Managing the briefing process to internal teams and project management of creative production
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to gain, interpret and implement feedback
  • Working with SEO Strategist to develop and implement content strategy
  • Creating CMS and CRM templates (with support from specialist functions)
  • Develop creative briefs to instruct agencies in the development of marketing assets such as a video or infographics when required
  • With support from the Project Manager create and manage copy & content production schedules to ensure all assets are delivered on time and to budget
  • Performing post launch evaluation, taking responsibility for the performance of individual assets and providing recommendations for future optimisations.

Our Successful Candidate

We welcome degree qualified applicants with experience creating engaging content, and copywriting for digital channels. You’ll demonstrate creativity, excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills. It would be an advantage to have professional experience across Education/Online Learning products/services.
