Job Description

The CRM Manager is a new role in Octopus Investments, created to support the delivery and adoption of a new Dynamics 365 CRM. With a growing team of over 100 people across sales, sales support and customer roles, the new CRM is critical to our everyday performance and future growth. This role will play a pivotal role in the journey to develop, roll out and drive continuous improvement through Dynamics. We know there’s huge potential for business impact through simplifying and automating everyday work, and through exploiting the performance insights that a well-managed CRM can enable.

The immediate business priority is completing the delivery of the new system. The CRM Manager will be at the heart of the project team, working with business stakeholders, project management and technology teams. With a summer launch date, the role will switch quickly into user support and adoption, helping business users move quickly and effectively onto the new system and helping the tech teams continue its development to support more processes. Beyond that, the CRM Manager will be responsible for ensuring we’re continuously getting more value from the system, whether in how it works or how we use it.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop business, functional and technical requirements from business stakeholders as input to the development team configuring the CRM for our use-cases
  • Support the technical design, for example front-end forms and back-end data models, to ensure consistency with requirements
  • Facilitate our Design Council process, owning the sales and customer user feedback into the development process
  • Facilitate user-testing so that we drive feedback and iterative improvement into our development process
  • Support user-training , working particularly closely with our nominated super users, so that we enable business stakeholders to migrate onto the new system and get more out of it
  • Support continuous development of the CRM as our commercial structure evolves, for example to support new team structures and sales processes
  • Work closely with our data engineering and insights teams to ensure we capture and use data reliably and effectively
  • Be prepared to manage a growing CRM team within Sales Operations as we manage the new CRM and continue to run programmes of Change in parallel
  • Be prepared to challenge the team with different ways of working based on previous successful Dynamics implementations

Qualifications

  • Ideally a Microsoft Dynamics certification such Dynamics 365 Fundamentals or Dynamics 365 Sales Functional Consultant Associate

To really stand out from the crowd, you will display the following qualities and characteristics:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills – able to build rapport and challenge in an engaging and inclusive way
  • A distinct talent in communicating what business stakeholders need and want so that we solve the right problems and build buy-in between different teams
  • Strongly motivated to deliver tangible business impact
  • Ability to move seamlessly between the sales and technical spheres, with a strong understanding of both and ability to adapt to either
  • Attention to detail, from fleshing out edge cases in functional requirements to thinking through implications of systems changes for other integrated systems (such as a data warehouse)
  • Financial Services Experience
