The primary purpose of the Maintenance Operative role is to support the EHS Site Lead and site management team by ensuring all buildings and site interior / exterior are maintained in a safe and environmentally responsible way, so the workplace remains operational at all times.

Responsibilities

  • To work as part of the larger Centre of Excellence team in Bromborough.
  • Responsible for completing allocated maintenance tasks from start to completion, escalating potential issues and providing solutions.
  • Maintenance of internal and external buildings, signage, grounds, and equipment to ensure the safety of site employees and visitors including performing general repairs, ground maintenance, cleaning and assisting with the upkeep of site facilities.
  • Carry out routine checks ensuring internal / external checks are carried out within agreed timeframes.
  • Work to support the Development Line team with preparation of the line, if required.
  • Ensuring all line equipment is ready to operate when required, this includes supporting with development line tasks, equipment, or general maintenance.
  • Liaising with internal customers with regards to line operation.
  • Engaging in the process of line safety and enforcing safe operation of the line.
  • Actively participate in a 5S programme of housekeeping to ensure accessible workplace and tools at all times.
  • Participate in energy saving and waste recycling programmes for site.
  • Environmental, Health & Safety, Risk & Compliance:
    • Support the safety improvement initiative through promoting and supporting the Morgan ‘ThinkSAFE’ ethos and leading by example at all times.
    • Actively participate in the ‘ThinkSAFE’ processes (e.g., safety tours, Toolbox Talks, etc.).
  • Execute the role ethically and in accordance with the Morgan Leadership Behaviors.
  • Actively participate in Morgan ThinkSafe, Take 5 and other safety-related initiatives and reporting requirements.
