About the job
The Moneysupermarket Group have a wealth of rich customer data which allows us to understand and predict our customers’ needs. In addition, we have modern architecture on the Google Cloud Platform and real time data which will give you the needed infrastructure to build real-time predictive models.
You will play a leading role in delivering Moneysupermarket’s strategic goal of ensuring that the customer experience across our key touchpoints is as relevant and personalised as possible. You will work closely with the Product, Data Engineering, Technology and other Data Science teams to help the business achieve its goals through data-driven decision-making; being actively involved in identifying areas in which our data can add more value to our customers using the website, app and marketing platforms (primarily Braze). To succeed, you will monitor the performance of experiments, develop metrics and monitor their evolution to craft a compelling narrative of what is happening with our customers and how the business is performing. You will work closely with other members of the Customer Data Science team in shaping how we translate our data and models into information consumable and actionable by our stakeholders.
In addition to your technical skills, you will need to build relationships with key stakeholders. We expect our data analysts to play a pivotal role in ensuring that, as a business, we are making optimal data-driven decisions.

What will your daily life look like?
- Building relationships with stakeholders across our business (Marketing, Product, Commercial and Tech) to ensure we are using data-science to drive our decisioning.
- Develop a deep understanding of a customer lifetime value and work with key stakeholders to optimise this metric.
- Translation of raw data into analysis and recommended actions.
- Clear and effective communications with stakeholders including creating engaging presentations and explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Empower stakeholders across the business to make data-driven decisions by building self-serve reporting.
- Support Product, Data Engineering, and Technology teams in A/B testing personalised, analytically driven features and campaigns.
- Develop and monitor metrics and KPIs to determine business performance against objectives.
- Building your knowledge and learning new skills by attending workshops, seminars and conferences or self-learning materials.
- Identify process improvements to our in-house experimentation and reporting processes.
What do we need from you?
- Experience of delivering commercial outcomes from the creation and distribution of advanced analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL to analyse large datasets.
- Good working knowledge of statistical techniques.
- Strong data visualisation skills.
- Experience of delivering productionised analytical or data-driven products to consumer markets.
- Experience working with and knowledge of modern cloud data architectures, infrastructure, and tools.
- Strong knowledge and experience of using a Business Intelligence tool, such as Looker, Tableau, Power Bi, Qlik or similar.
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to senior stakeholders.
- Desire to understand, in detail, the customer experience of using Moneysupermarket Group services.
