Account Planner – Coca-Cola/WPP OpenX & MoneySuperMarket

Overview of role

As we embark on the most ambitious and wide-reaching marketing transformation project ever we are looking for a “Rockstar planner” to join the team and drive the day to day planning function forward. This role spans across the newly formed Coca-Cola/WPP OpenX team and the MoneySuperMarket account. It is an incredible opportunity to become a truly rounded planning specialist exposing you to a full spectrum of marketing challenges. From creative executions and brand building work to intelligent uses of data and analytics this role will take you places!

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Planning Account Director.

Measures of success

You may already be a Planner looking for a new challenge or an Exec looking to step up to the next level. You will already have working knowledge of core planning tools such as TGI, AdDynamix, YouGov etc.

In three months, you would have:

  • A strong handle on the day to day, be on top of live campaigns and deliverables and be proactive at picking up client requests.
  • You will have established strong relationships with internal implementation and planning teams.
  • You should be comfortable running weekly client status sessions.
  • Demonstrate an active interest in Coke and MoneySuperMarkets’s business, marketplace, and audiences.

In six months, you would have:

  • Developed a strong relationship with clients. Be their go-to person for insights, competitor reports and other ad-hoc requests.
  • Owning budget tracking documents.

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Begun the road to Account Manager – taking more lead roles with clients in meetings & delivering brilliant work for key campaigns.
  • Developed managerial skills by overseeing the output of exec.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Supporting day-to-day account management, being a key member of the team and available to both support and lead on projects.
  • Leading on all key insights and competitor work to fuel idea-first planning. You will be the go-to person for surfacing insights and be well versed in all insight and planning tools.
  • Ensuring proper processes are being followed across the Coke account i.e. budget tracking, finance process, knowledge sharing.

What you will need

  • Creative flair and a mindset to explore every opportunity.
  • A real passion for media.
  • A can-do attitude and a keen eye for detail.
  • Be a real team player and be willing to get stuck into all elements of the business.
  • A good working knowledge of core planning tools (TGI, AdDynamix, YouGov et).
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with excellent written & verbal English language skills/grammar.
