Planning Account Director – Coca-Cola/WPP OpenX & MoneySuperMarket

Overview of role

Do you want to work on an account where you will deliver both culture and career defining work? Do you want to plan across two iconic businesses and multiple household brands with a budget of £80 Million?! We want to hear from you!

As we embark on the most ambitious and wide-reaching marketing transformation project ever, we are looking for a “Rockstar AD” to join the team and drive the day to day planning function forward. This role spans across the newly formed Coca-Cola/WPP OpenX team and the MoneySuperMarket account. It is an incredible opportunity to become a truly rounded planning specialist exposing you to a full spectrum of marketing challenges. From creative executions and brand building work to intelligent uses of data and analytics this role will take you places!

You will report into Senior Account Director and Business Director

Measures of success

In three months, you would have:

  • Formed a supportive bond with your SAD to make sure you both get what you need from your ways of working and be embedded with the day to day clients.
  • Be under the skin of key brands/campaign projects and understand what the challenges are.
  • Providing provocative observations on the market and audience behaviours and trends.
  • Delivered strategic and planning work required within that time period.
  • Met the key clients, worked on some responses with the team and got to grips with our processes.
  • Asked as many questions as possible.
  • Be an active member of team conversation and be a positive influence on the group.

In six months, you would have:

  • Delivered a response, with killer source of growth analysis, data and evidence led insights, ambitious innovation opportunities to push things forward.
  • Spotted an opportunity for us to do things better, because of your fresh perspective.
  • Agreed objectives with your SAD to ensure constant progression.
  • Got involved in wider BU workstreams.

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Stamped ownership on key areas of the business and gained core client trust and understanding.
  • Be a critical cog in the team!
  • Learnt new skill.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Delivering best in class comms planning for Coke and MoneySuperMarket, working in partnership with the wider team to ensure we deliver consistently excellent work.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with other MCM teams working on the client account.
  • Owning your own briefs from strategy to optimised in-flight results, PCA.
  • Mining through research, data and results to uncover insights, opportunities and implications.
  • Leading implementation briefings to our Connect and investment teams.
  • Continually learning about better planning and rigorous measurement frameworks.
  • Brilliant Basics: have some great client relationships, lead stand up meetings and project manage your workstreams.
  • Ensure detail, accuracy and quality of all deliverables.
  • Developing your team, setting and monitoring KPIs.

What you will need

  • A bold and creative flair

  • Solid media planning knowledge and curiosity (as well as a curiosity to understand consumers, people and changing travel marketplace)
  • Experience in dealing with senior clients and running highly performing and motivated team

  • Strong organisation skills, ability to work in agile ways of working (MCM will provide relevant training)
  • The ability to be proactive and unafraid to share opinions
  • The know-how to look at a wide set of sources for evidence
