Opportunity

Working within project teams and across manufacturing teams identify the scope of work(s), prioritize task for the artwork team to ensure timely delivery to support business critical projects. Lead the Packaging & Labelling team through continuous improvement activities designed to strengthen the team’s systemic performance and efficiency. When required this role will require flexibility in responsibilities to ensure targets are met. This role will be predominately based in our Bathgate facility with occasional travel to other LumiraDx facilities within the UK. To be successful in this role you must be able to work and lead with minimum supervision, to manage the high volume of artwork content and packaging material the team must manage/deliver.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Design and lead the development of systems designed to maintain tracking processes for artwork and packaging updates.
  • Team leadership / management responsibilities for individuals who deliver project activities within a Document Management System.
  • Attend project meetings to provide artwork and packaging status updates and collect new requests.
  • Make work requests / construct work packets for translation vendor(s) to act on.
  • Determine what amendments are to be made to department SOPs / Work Instructions.
  • Foster and build vendor relationships to improve cycle times and cost improvements.
  • Raise and receipt vendor appropriate Purchase Orders.
  • Ensure all training relevant to job role is performed in line with business requirements for you and your team.
  • Operate within job role specific SOP / Work Instructions, and provide substantive improvements to these to improve department efficiencies.
  • Lead data gathering activities in relation to quality events.

About You

To be successful in this role you must be a highly motivated individual that can demonstrate flexibility and a can-do attitude. You should ensure positive, productive and proactive relationships with a range of internal and external key stakeholders

Essential skills

  • Degree in business or technical area.
  • Leading a team that coordinates high volumes of electronic files within a Quality / Regulated environment.
  • Experience of working with artwork in a document management system.
  • Experience of Translation / Desktop Publishing services.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility in working style to meet business needs.
  • Working within cross functional teams to track highly similar electronic files.
  • Ability to self-organize to deliver against business priorities.
  • Building and maintaining excel spreadsheets or similar.
  • Individuals with a broad education with relevant experience of operating with medical device artwork documents / project activities will also be considered.
