Blue Rose is seeking a Lead Behavioral Health Coordinator to join our team in support of our work with a federal client in Carrizo Springs, TX. This role is open to US Citizens ONLY.

The Behavioral Health Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, clinical and/or administrative supervision, and monitoring of a Behavioral Health delivery system meeting the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) standards. The Behavioral Health Coordinator works with the Deputy Program Manager, Lead Behavioral Health Counselor, behavioral health staff and other related staff to coordinate total contract services.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as point of contact for administrative staff for discussion of treatment programs and problem resolution as needed
  • Coordinates development and revision of policies and procedures for the identification, assessment, and provision of required clinical services for unaccompanied children (UC)
  • Supervises implementation of treatment programs per ORR guidelines
  • Provides clinical and/or administrative supervision to staff of Behavioral Health Coordinator team
  • Monitors efforts of Behavioral Health Services to ensure clinical services are being provided in a timely, professional manner. Provides and assigns on-call duties
  • Ensures treatment programs contracted are integrated and appropriately staffed
  • Create and coordinate behavioral health staff schedules with guidance from DPM
  • Provides administrative support to behavioral health staff
  • Coordinates the facility’s Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Program
  • Attends training and meetings as required
  • Collaborates with the Director of Medical Services and will be responsible for the communication and implementation of all changes and updates to the policies and procedures
  • Prepare and review statistical information for weekly reviews
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while always maintaining control and professional composure, making decisions based on the needs of the program and service population
  • Must be able to react professionally and productively to change and handle other essential tasks as assigned, on occasion
  • Successfully pass background checks

Requirements

  • Master’s degree Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, or other social service field; or a bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of progressive employment experience that demonstrates supervision and management of therapeutic, medical, mental health or other clinical environments or programs
  • Must possess and be able to demonstrate exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with children 
  • Required to work a flexible schedule to facilitate program services
  • Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required
