Kärcher North America HQ is located at a brand-new facility with amenities including an on-site cafeteria and a fitness center.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations, strategic management and data governance of the Master Data and Billing team. This role will oversee SAP account creation, customer master data governance, auditing of customer accounts, invoicing, billing, and account reconciliations.

YOUR TASKS

  • Oversee the daily operations and functions of the Master Data team which includes all account creation, editing, auditing and maintenance.
  • The Master Data Manager will be responsible for defining and enforcing a Master Data and full data governance policy within Kärcher.
  • Oversee the daily operations and functions of the Billing Team which includes ensuring customer’s invoices are generated accurately and all failures are addressed in a timely manner. This also includes the posting and reconciliation of invoices into customer’s AP Portals.
  • Responsible for the timely resolution of customer disputes related to taxes, freight, pricing, and quantity discrepancies.
  • Monitor the type and quantity of disputes, analyze and identify methods to streamline billing operations.
  • Report dispute and credit activity to management consistently.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of root causes of billing disputes and recommend solutions to mitigate the volume.
  • Lead projects to fully reconcile a high volume of customer accounts with open disputes while maintaining strong reporting around root cause, financial impact and resolution.
  • Collaborate with immediate and cross functional business teams including Customer Care, AR, Sales and Credit to resolve issues, maintain business partnerships, and keep invoicing accurate.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and pursue opportunities to build efficiencies for the team / business.
  • Oversee, guide, develop and motivate the Master Data and Billing team.
  • Ensure process knowledge gaps do not exist by cross training the team.
  • Must be driven to meet monthly / annual financial targets.
  • Manage month end reporting, analytics, and metrics.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance or accounting or an equivalent amount of related work experience.
  • 8+ years of Data Management experience.
  • 5+ of Billing experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel using tables, pivot tables, advanced functions and compound functions.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Integrity, humility, ability to multitask, prioritizes responsibilities and complete work timely.
