About the job

As a Scientist II/III in our GLP bioanalytical laboratory at KCAS, you will leverage your knowledge in bioanalysis and scientific principles to be responsible for carrying out and/or supervising all aspects of Ligand-binding studies, from setup through reporting, as well as development. You will utilize your strong base in scientific principles/theories to assess data integrity and troubleshoot when necessary.

In this role, we will rely on you to:

  • Plan and carry out all phases of assigned projects including, R&D, ensure adequate supplies, method validation, test procedure preparation, sample analysis, data calculation, interpretation & review, troubleshooting and report preparation.
  • Assess or internalize methods for regulatory and SOP compliance.
  • Design moderately complex experiments & evaluate outcome vs. current SOPs, protocols other relevant standards; recommend appropriate course of action as necessary.

In addition, to qualify specifically for this role, you will have:

Education and Experience:

  • PhD in related field and 1 year of experience in bioanalytical method development on ELISA/Ligand Binding Assays (LBA), or,
  • Master’s degree in related field and 3+ years of experience in bioanalytical method development on ELISA/LBA, or,
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field with 6 years of experience in bioanalytical method development on ELISA/LBA.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong experiential knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) with an In-depth understanding of GLP regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to design, develop, validate and execute ligand-binding assays including ELISA and ECL-based assays.
  • Watson LIMS proficiencies preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical writing and basic computer skills.
  • Willingness and ability to provide procedural training and coaching.
