Description

Duties: Work as part of the Market Risk: Risk-Weighted Asset (RWA) reporting team in Market Risk Organization. Responsible for producing, analyzing, and explaining RWA numbers under the Basel 2.5 rules across multiple legal entities to Line of Business (LOB) controllers and Corporate Financial Reporting. Support quantitative impact studies (QIS) for regulatory agencies; ad-hoc analysis requests for LOBs, business partners, senior management, and regulators; and, the system implementation of the Basel rules. Responsible for understanding risk model methodologies developed by Market Risk Quantitative research (MRQR) and the associated model results based on the Basel 2.5 rules. Liaise with business partners, middle office and technology teams to continuously improve the data quality and integrity of the inputs into models. Conduct daily monitoring utilizing the firms Multi Asset Risk and Reporting tool (MaRRs). Work on production and analysis of weekly reports using the Firm’s Capital Desktop application. Participate in target state implementation working groups in effort to streamline and improve the reporting process in the strategic infrastructure.

Qualifications

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Finance, Economics or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years of experience as a Product Controller, Analyst, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience in the following: Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA); Basel 2.5 and 3 rules; Global Financial Markets such as Funds, Equity and Bonds, and products including derivatives; market risk methodologies and statistical models such as Value-at-Risk, Stressed Value-at-Risk, or Specific Risk; working with technology developers in automating processes and performing user acceptance testing; risk measures on financial products including greek measures on derivative products including Delta, Vega, and Gamma; analyzing large data sets; Microsoft Office Suite including use of Visual Basic Applications (VBA); performing detailed variance analysis of statistical market risk model outputs; using risk management and reporting systems such as Tableau, Qlikview, or Alteryx; and, methodologies used for Value at Risk (VaR), and Stress VaR.
