JD&Co are proud to be partnered on a hunt for an immediately available Interim CFO/FD to work with one of our amazing ecommerce clients on a 3 mth intial FTC. This role will need to be an experienced, commercially driven senior finance interim and with a thorough handover, this person will hit the ground running end of May 2022 to look after all financial aspects of the business including financial reporting and control, cash flow management, FP&A and BI. Heading up the finance team (currently x4 but growing), this role will also provide support to the founders and executive team on budget management, forecasting and KPI analysis.

Core Finance

Manage a finance function, including systems, processes, and controls
Lead on all aspects of operational finance including treasury, tax, and audit
Manage controls, cash flow and providing commercial financial support and input to the business through value adding analysis
Manage key external relationships including investors, auditors, and suppliers[GF1]

Strategy, Analysis & Modelling

Lead on the financial planning process, by developing KPIs and appropriate business analysis, revenue projections and forecasting processes across all functions to help decision-making
Manage the FP&A function across the unit economics, metrics and drivers that are key to the operating model, supporting decision making across all functions of the business.
On a temporary basis, lead forecasting process including investment business cases and manage cash flow needs

Cashflow management and Fundraising

Manage the peaks and troughs of seasonal cash flow to ensure exposure to the business is limited.
Manage potential investor reporting needed as well as financial reporting

About You

You are a qualified accountant who has performed as a CFO or Finance Director ideally in a similar environment (growth/tech/ecommerce)
You have proven experience in a D2C/B2C business
You have recent experience in a scale-up with experience of multiple investment cycles
Build and work with complex forecasting models and interpret and present this information in a visual manner.
You have excellent critical analysis and thinking skills.
You are an effective challenger, always looking for a better way of doing things
You have strong interpersonal skills and can work as part of a team and alone in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
You have high integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance
Energetic, highly motivated, with an enquiring mind, you are a self-starter
You are an articulate communicator with good written and verbal English.
