Historically, the Trust has struggled to invest in technology to support services for our community at the same time as delivering digital transformation. This underinvestment has now been recognised and during 2021-2024 the Trust is looking to receive funding, in excess of £12.5 million, which will enable it to deliver against the digital strategy.

Change is inevitable. This is particularly relevant within a digital world where new innovations are constantly being explored. Our goal is to move with the technological advancements and enable the information to flow securely and be available when required.

Our digital strategy is designed to also enable the Trust Strategy as well as respond to regional and national drivers such as the NHS Long Term Plan.

We will help deliver seamless service transition between Ambulance, Acute, Mental Health and Community by reducing duplication and enabling an ‘Integrated Care Service’ to all.

We have a well established and very talented Information Management and Technology (IM&T).

We also work closely with our Clinical Chief information Officer who leads the Digital Clinical Senate and Governance Groups to ensure information is of quality and kept safe.

Together we have created, and are implementing, our ambitious digital strategy.

We will engage with staff through digital ambassadors to help adoption of digital technology and understand what hurdles there are to overcome.

We have a unique model of care on the Isle of Wight, we are the only integrated NHS Trust that provides Acute, Mental Health, Community Services and Ambulance provision in the country.

We are now ready to add further talent to our team and are focused currently on recruiting to the new Testing and Training Team within Clinical Systems. The Clinical Systems Training and Testing Analyst role will be key in the provision, support and management of the Clinical systems used within the Isle of Wight NHS Trust and in supporting the ongoing development and implementation and adoption of our Digital Strategy through testing and training.

Do you have experience of clinical systems, an understanding of operational processes, or training/testing experience? Would you like to expand your system knowledge? If yes, then you maybe what we are looking for!

The role will involve system configuration, testing functionality in accordance with test scripts and producing training materials and SOPS for the systems managed by the Clinical Systems Team. Delivering training in a variety of methods, including remotely, face to face classroom based, one to one training and floor walking. Ensuring that all training is delivered to the expected high standards and any updated functionality is understood in detail.

We are looking for somebody enthusiastic who can demonstrate effective communication and analytical skills.

This role will be based on the Isle of Wight at St Mary’s hospital; however, we offer flexible working arrangements, we have an Agile Working Policy and a Flexible Working Policy (currently under review).

If you have experience working within health or social care that would be desirable, however not essential.

Interviews will be held on 6th May 2022 on site at St Mary’s Hospital, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 5TG and will include a 5-minute presentation – Microteach – on a subject of your choice
