INTEGRATED COMMUNITY NURSING SERVICE
Band 5 COMMUNITY NURSE

We are looking for a Registered Nurse (Adult) to join our dynamic Integrated Community Nursing Service.
Community Nursing is changing rapidly – we provide all aspects of nursing care at home for many patients who would have traditionally remained in hospital.
The three locality teams work closely with our colleagues from Earl Mountbatten Hospice, Community Rapid Response, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, GPs, Practice Nurses, Specialist Nurses, mainland hospitals and outside agencies, such as Age UK and the Local Authority.
Worried that you don’t have the necessary skills? There is no doubt that you already possess a wealth of skills and knowledge that you can share with us!
We would expect you to have good interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate that you are an evidence-based practitioner.
Clinical skills in all types of urinary catheterisation, syringe driver management, wound management and diabetes management are desirable, but not essential.
Support and training will be available to ensure a safe transition to working in the community setting.
A preceptorship programme is available
The Integrated Community Nursing Service operates Island-wide, seven days a week, between the hours of 8.00am and 8.00pm. Post holders will be required to work flexible shifts to meet the needs of the service.
