To provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Service.
The postholder will be responsible for maintaining records both manually and on a computerised system and demonstrate the ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information ie clinical letters, investigations and results. The postholder needs to be friendly and approachable ,able to assist patients with their enquiries in a patient and empathetic manner.
Main duties of the job
Hywel Dda University health board are seeking an organised and motivated person for a clerical officer role in the Out-patient musculo-skeletal Physiotherapy team based in Hafen Derwen,St Davids park,Carmarthen.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who will be part of our dynamic team providing clerical support to the service from the base location, with an occasional expectation to travel to other locations within the health board to provide clerical support in other staff locations.
The post requires the applicant to have a flexible approach and to be able to promote good customer service and effective working relationships. You will need to have good IT skills and knowledge of electronic record management systems will be beneficial but not essential.
You will be expected to deliver an effective and competent level of administrative support to clinical staff. The successful candidate will need to have good communication skills, be organised and flexible and be able to demonstrate their ability to work on their own as well as in collaboration with others. They will assist in the administrative duties of the service, including management of referrals, filing, ordering stock, appointment administration and general administration tasks as delegated by the team.

Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales
