Polsinelli PC has an immediate opening for an HR Coordinator located in the Kansas City office. This position requires a well-rounded individual with excellent interpersonal skills to work in fast-paced environment.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the overall Human Resources department day-to-day administrative functions to include:
o Benefits Plan Administration:
- Assist Benefits Manager with the administration of the Firm’s health and welfare plans during annual open enrollment period.
- Maintain the Benefits information on the Firm’s Intranet.
o Human Resource Manager(s):
- Assist with general record keeping, reporting, and tracking.
- Assist with Annual Staff Performance Review process.
o Staff Recruiting:
- Partner with the Recruiting Manager assisting with general administration of technology programs to maintain firm-wide staff recruitment database.
- Support Recruiting Manager screen resumes, the coordination and scheduling of interviews, and assist with correspondence as it applies to the staff recruiting process.
- Entering/pulling background check information for new hire transactions.
o General HR & Systems:
- Processing and reconciliation of department expenses and vendor invoices for reimbursement and payment.
- Enter and manage employee changes with all applicable HRIS and benefit provider platforms, including status changes.
- Process required documents through HRIS/Payroll system (UKG Pro) to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
- Assist with statistical and general reporting.
- Contribute to HR team effort by participating in special projects, as needed.
- Maintain employee confidence; protect firm operations by safeguarding confidential information.
- Remain proficient in Microsoft Office applications; maintain the ability to learn other applications as defined by department needs.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Experience: One year of related experience
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft programs including, but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook.
Other Requirements:
- Prior knowledge of HR principles and practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Strong time management skills
