Job Overview

The Due Diligence & Investigations Specialist, under the supervision of our client’s Global Security Manager, Due Diligence and Investigations, will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the independent channel partner and third-party intermediary due diligence screenings, and identify potential risks to the organisation in connection with the proposed relationships with the entities. The information provided by the Specialist will enable Global Security management and the cross-functional team of the organisations senior leaders to make informed decisions when evaluating and resolving sensitive matters. The Specialist will also manage the intake of various reports made to the Global Security function and assign matters for appropriate courses of action.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Third Party-related due diligence process, including but not limited to reviewing, initiating the due diligence review, monitoring progress, and reporting.

• Prepare detailed assessments of potential risks or concerns and communicate to Global Security Management. Maintain meticulous documentation related to the due diligence screenings to appropriately capture analysis, recommendation and all follow up efforts.

• Manage the intake of reports made to the Global Security team, assign matters to appropriate team members for action, and follow up to ensure resolution of all open items.

• Assist in the development and implementation of workflows and operating procedures related to the third party due diligence program.

• Collaborate with Global Compliance Third Party team to establish third party review protocols and update tools and templates within the Third-Party tool.

• Build and maintain excellent relationships with multiple stakeholders, including the Global Compliance Third Party team, business leads across various regions and countries and due diligence vendors.

• Interprets and executes policies and procedures that typically affect subordinate organizational units. Recommends modifications to operating policies. Develops and/or identifies new work processes and the improved utilization of human and material resources within the assigned area or related departments.

• Functions as an advisor to a unit regarding tasks, projects, and operations. Investigates and solves problems that impact work processes and personnel within the assigned unit.

• Becomes actively involved in daily operations only when required to meet schedules or to resolve complex problems.

• Manages projects of small to moderate scope including schedules, scope, costs and resources. May participate in cross-function teams

• Creates immediate to mid-range plans to carry out objectives established by top management. Schedules human and material resources within a group or section in conjunction with plans to ensure their availability; carries out operations within an established budget

• Assignments are expressed in the form of tasks and objectives; generally makes day-to-day decisions within established guidelines regarding work processes or schedules in order to achieve the program objectives established by senior management. Ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to complete assignments would normally result in serious delays to assigned projects resulting in considerable expenditure of additional time, human resources, and funds.

• Promotes the attainment of group goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable staff. Provides leadership to assigned units by communicating and providing guidance towards achieving group objectives

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with:

• Asian National

• Minimum BA or BS degree in field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a global security or compliance environment.

• Knowledge of FCPA and other relevant Anti-Bribery Anti-Corruption laws.

• Strong analytical, research, and report writing skills.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintains a strong sense of urgency.

• Able to work effectively and independently. This role requires the individual to be behind the screen conducting due diligence and report compiling.

• Strong English written and verbal communication skill,as the candidate(s) will be liaising regularly with US counterparts. A second regional (Asian) language at fluency is a must.

• Honesty, integrity, commitment, attention to detail and professionalism are essential. This role requires the individual to be behind the screen conducting due diligence and report compiling, so this should be mentioned, it is not a field or out.

• 5-10% travel required for company meetings and conferences.
