London or Edinburgh (Please note that while this role is advertised as office-based, our client will remain a hybrid-working organisation for the foreseeable future, with visits to the office for face-to-face meetings, including monthly team meetings)

This role will form part of their People Team. With an ambitious strategy over the next few years, their vision is to develop a workforce where people deliver their best and feel involved, engaged, inspired, appreciated, valued, fulfilled, happier and healthier at work. The team aims to develop to achieve recognition and further value internally and drive the organisation as an enabler, innovator and leader in their field. Our client is currently exploring to expand their distributed workforce and the People Advisor will play an important part in advising on best practices.

They are now looking for a People Advisor to join their People Team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a CIPD qualified people or human resources professional to join our client’s growing organisation and help them provide a great environment for their people.

The Role

As a People Advisor, you will provide advice and support on all elements of people management.

This is a generalist human resources role, aiding in championing and upholding our client’s strategy and People Team visions, you will provide advice and guidance on the interpretation and implementation of their strategy, policies and statutory requirements.

Additionally, You Will

  • Create and maintain inclusive and accessible people management policies and processes
  • Advise on recruitment and reward, talent and learning, employee relations and performance management
  • Support the creation and maintenance of employee voice and staff engagement practices
  • Collate, identify and deliver solutions to organisational learning needs
  • Lead on people strategy projects
  • Manage the relationship with external service providers
  • Undertake analysis and collate data, analysing it and presenting it

About You

To be considered as a People Advisor, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a generalist Human Resources role
  • Experience managing and developing HR information systems
  • Evidence of reviewing and delivering HR workflows to streamline internal processes
  • The proven ability to deliver and promote an outstanding customer-focused service
  • To be confident in learning, understanding and developing people policies, processes and systems
  • An understanding of the concept of pay structures and reward mechanisms
  • The ability to lead on all elements of recruitment campaigns
  • To be able to undertake training needs analysis and recommended learning interventions
  • Good organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • To be CIPD qualified, or willing to work towards a HR qualification

Experience of drafting employment policies and employee communications would be beneficial to your application, as would experience overseeing payroll.

Experience working with an international organisation, with a geographically dispersed workforce would be equally as advantageous.
