The Role

The VP of Global Demand Generation is a highly visible key role in Gelato. This leader will have the opportunity to build and run a global demand team and shape for long term growth with high impact. This role is critical to the next phase of growth for Gelato, and we are looking for a change agent who can build the foundation to scale but also ignite the culture to transform.

The leader will be responsible for Campaigns, Digital, Global Field Marketing, and Demand Center. The ideal candidate will be a KPI oriented, pipelining machine with a digital first mindset.

The successful candidate for this role will be a great leader, creative thinker, and highly data driven with a growth mindset. They should also be self-motivated, intellectually curious, and looking for a world class role to drive change and growth in a Marketing organization.

What you will be doing

  • Partner with the team to build cross-functional marketing strategy.
  • Develop and lead high performing global marketing demand generation organization covering all Digital channels (Search, Social, SEO++) and Field Marketing.
  • Build and own integrated demand generation campaigns.
  • Think digital first and deliver the Gelato message through digital channels to drive demand and build awareness.
  • Partner with Head of eComm to deliver against eComm targets.
  • Drive Go-To-Market strategy and delivery, and partner with Sales leadership to be a united front focused on delivering pipeline across the globe.
  • Take a data driven approach to marketing. Partner with VP of Marketing Ops and Strategy to measure KPIs.
  • Manage spend against a defined budget.
  • Be a change agent and culture ambassador within the organization.
  • Build the foundation to scale and grow for the future

Moreover, we would like to see evidence of the following in your profile:

  • Passion for Gelato and our vision – sharing creativity. Deep passion for working with Digital Marketing.
  • M.Sc./M.A. degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or another data-driven or marketing field.
  • 4+ years of experience in SEM, PPC in B2C e-commerce, digital marketing, including demonstrable experience leading and managing paid campaigns.
  • Experience with paid social channels (esp. Facebook and Instagram), programmatic advertising is a big plus.
  • Experience with handling acquisition campaigns for apps is also a big plus (Apple Search Ads, Facebook, Instagram, Google UAC).
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics. Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels (conversion rate optimization) is a big plus.
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and zero-defect.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong ability to conceptualize and communicate complex topics in a simple and factual way.
  • Business-fluent in English
  • Strong ability to think independently yet operate effectively in and with teams.
