About the job

The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for a range of marketing and promotional tasks including content creation, marketing campaign development, and event promotion. Content includes brochures, product data sheets, social media posts, website copy, illustrations for sales presentations, and other company literature. The individual will help implement the organization’s strategic and communications plans by working closely with internal and external marketing resources such as draftsmen, web designers, and copy editors to coordinate the achievement of marketing content that effectively supports sales and business development needs.

This role is in our Fujifilm Integrated Inkjet Solutions group, where we provide inkjet solutions for integration into a wide variety of different production processes across various industries such as commercial printing, package converting, consumer product manufacturing, and food production.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Create company literature and other forms of communication.

Create marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.

Work with advertisers for timely and useable ad submissions

Help locate and estimate the cost of external marketing communications resources

Copy, edit, proofread, and revise communications.

Recommend, implement, and maintain website design by working with web designers.

Work with the business’s commercial leaders to determine event budgets and manage expenses to those budgets.

Organize and maintain the business’s message and external position on products, services, and brand for consistency of information in various forms of different media.

Promote products and services through advertising initiatives and sales collateral.

Develop marketing communications campaigns for technical products and services.

Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content, sales presentation content, and speaking proposals.

Refine and execute the communications strategy for products, services, and market growth areas.

Research industry and product trends and summarize findings.

Produce and analyze website analytics.

Coordinate scheduling and logistics of physical media production and delivery to multiple global sites.

Coordinate the plans and logistics associated with conference and tradeshow appearances such as the production of banners, the selection of furniture, booth layout, and selection of media for each event.

Manage information.

Maintain or oversee a social media calendar to help ensure regular social media presence for the business.

Take simple photos and videos.

Perform editing of photo and video content

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

Previous experience in marketing, communications, or business management.

Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, or a technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Competent in basic videography and photography techniques

Ability to work across many functional departments and collaborate with fellow employees.

Ability to receive and address feedback from a wide variety of stakeholders.

Proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint.

Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and change tasks abruptly to address urgent needs.

Ability to make clear recommendations for specific action supported by objective information.

Ability to take general and conceptual guidance and recommend specific implementation options.

A commanding use of proper English Grammar.

Proficient in software used to produce digital content such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills required. Must instill confidence and engender trust. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with individuals within and outside the organization. Must have ability to project a positive, professional, and customer-responsive image.

DESIRED:

Experience producing marketing content for businesses in a B2B environment.

Experience in the printing industry, preferably inkjet

The combination of both marketing/communications and technical experience

Experience with using and modifying 3D CAD models

Ability to analyze complex market data

Skills in website design
