Our People Operations team 👋

The People Operations team supports and enables everyone in FreeAgent to focus on doing their best work, through the delivery of exceptional service across our 3 sub-teams: the People team, Talent team and Front Office team. The working environment is fast paced, agile and fun. The role 🎓

As a Learning & Development Consultant in the People Team you’ll have a wide scope of work connecting you with internal and external stakeholders. A key focus for us is to support our people to develop their careers and progress whilst at FreeAgent, and to develop our managers and leaders to enable this.

This unique L&D position is a key role within our People Operations department, and includes the delivery of our management and leadership development framework along with company-wide face-to-face and virtual learning activities, and the further development of internal training materials that support all learning styles.

It is important that we identify and deliver exceptional content that reflects our values, our culture and our drive towards individual growth and high performance.

Day to day here’s what you can expect:

This role requires previous experience operating in a mid level Learning & Development role. You’ll be delivering training, interacting with stakeholders on a regular basis and taking ownership of our learning and development offering. You’ll have support and input from a highly collaborative team, with regular time to plan and review work.

Key objectives of the role include:

  • Design, deliver and measure learning activity through workshops, structured programmes and ad hoc events.
  • Coordinate, deliver and evaluate our management and leadership development programme, ensuring that our learning initiatives support our FreeAgent management principles.
  • Build on our learning needs analysis to determine our organisational learning and development needs, with a particular focus on management skills and career planning.
  • Build on our current content, and promote content and resources for our e-learning platform and intranet site.
  • Manage external learning suppliers and arrange external training delivery where required
  • Advise managers on relevant learning and development activity to support development plans and manage learning requests
  • All associated administration with the role, including managing learning data, inputting to People Operations reporting and budget management processes
  • Promote our learning brand and learning opportunities through internal communications, including face to face presentations and internal written messaging.
  • Lead and manage learning related projects, working collaboratively across People Operations and the wider FreeAgent team

You’ll enjoy delivering training and are comfortable influencing senior stakeholders. This role could be attractive to an individual who is looking for an opportunity to own and manage L&D at FreeAgent, taking the lead and driving forward learning initiatives.

Ideally you’ll have

  • Experience of designing, delivering and measuring learning initiatives on a broad range of topics, including face-to-face training (essential)
  • Experience of conducting learning needs assessments and analysing data to inform learning activity (essential)
  • Level 7 qualification in Learning and Development or Human Resource Management (preferably CIPD accredited), or equivalent experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of learning theory and practical application
  • Previous exposure to talent management or internal recruitment processes would be beneficial
