We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer for a fast growing team.
Daily Life of A Senior Data Engineer
- Collect, cleanse and manipulate large data sets
- Build and/or leverage state-of-the-art tools and algorithms to derive insights for GrubTech and its clients
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data mined and analyzed
- Optimize the data collection and analysis process
- Supplement GrubTech data with third party sources, when required
- Build high quality analysis and prediction systems, e.g. for customer segmentation, recommendation generation, and A/B testing
- Stay up to date on the latest technology trends
- Generate and present insights for internal discussions with relevant teams
- Work closely with the product, strategy and engineering teams to understand needs and develop solutions as well as to identify opportunities to leverage data for the creation of new or enhancement of existing business solutions
- Coordinate with relevant teams to implement solutions and monitor outcomes
- All levels are applicable: Junior, mid, senior, lead
Requirements

- Excellent understanding of and experience in machine learning techniques and algorithms
- Strong pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills
- Experience working with and create data architectures
- Capable of using and building a variety of data tools and models to analyze large data sets
- Proven ability to analyze data, synthesize relevant insights and drive successful business-related outcomes
- Experience in simulations, clustering and scenario analysis
- Experience with streaming technologies such as Kinesis and Kafka
- Experience working within container environments in AWS ECS and EKS.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
- Experience with reporting/analytical tools such as apache superset is an added advantage
- Experience using web services such as Redshift
- Experience analyzing data from 3rd party providers
