Title: Head of People and Purpose

Location: UK, flexible remote working

Package: Competitive base, annual bonus on company and individual performance, Vitality health insurance, full time 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays annual (pro-rata), 5% employer pension contributions, unlimited Everleaf.

Type: Permanent. Part-time 50% (20 hours).

The non-alcoholic category is a hugely exciting place to be; despite all the challenges of the last couple of years, non-alc has continued to grow at pace and Everleaf is one of the leaders.

Who are we?

Everleaf’s mission is to make non-alcoholic products inspired by and derived from the natural world which are as good as the best alcoholic ones, whilst promoting the conservation of plant biodiversity.

Launched at the beginning of 2019, Everleaf has grown to three varieties that draw their inspiration from (and transport you to) the natural world – Forest, Marine and Mountain.

Multi award-winning, Everleaf is praised by some of the world’s best bartenders, chefs and food & drink experts, as well as being very highly rated by consumers for its liquid quality, sophistication and complexity.

We work across all channels, with listings in hundreds of bars and restaurants, a strong e-commerce offering through our own website and Amazon, as well as a national listing in Marks & Spencer and an expanding international footprint.

We want to be sustainable from the ground up, and are currently pursuing B-Corp, Fair Trade, carbon neutral and net zero accreditations. We are members of 1% For the Planet, donating through our partnership with Fauna & Flora International, the world’s oldest conservation charity.

What’s the role?

This role is all about building Everleaf’s capacity to grow fast over the next few years through a strong team that is aligned, supported and nurtured.

Currently a team of 11, we’re expanding each year and want to do that the right way.

We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and driven people to take the business to the next level, but that growth needs to be sustainable. This role will take the reins in building out that team.

Working closely with the Founder, you will help recruit strategically, support the team, and build our company culture, including the people component of B-Corporation.

What does the job involve?

  • Recruiting for growth: help Everleaf to grow effectively by delivering our goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.

  • Company culture: review, plan and implement policies, processes and training to support our team and individual growth.

  • Creating Structure: review roles and responsibilities within the company structure, and create accountability by managing our recruitment and review processes, individual targets and bonuses.

  • Supporting people: including on and off boarding, benefits, leave, performance, productivity, recognition and health and safety.

  • Supporting purpose: lead on B-Corporation impact areas of Workers and Community, and support our wider company ESG goals.

  • Versatility: as a small brand, we twist and turn as we grow; you might find yourself helping out across all aspects of the business from time to time.

Who are you & what experience will you have?

  • Passionate about people and purpose: We are looking for someone who is really excited about joining us, who is keen to play a pivotal role in developing Everleaf at this key point in our growth.

  • Existing experience: We need someone who can hit the ground running and therefore has experience in building small teams quickly and strategically.

  • An empath and communicator: Fast growth can be challenging for all the team, and this role will require someone who can manage the inevitable ups and downs, giving the team support, and effectively communicating challenges as well as successes.

  • A self-starter: As Everleaf is a small company, you will be given significant responsibility. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, driven and sets clear direction for themselves.
