Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility.

Position Overview

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for driving quality improvement initiatives, root cause and corrective action and leading quality engineering support for value stream teams and product lines.

In This Role, You Will

  • Review customer’s RFQs, contracts, and flow-down of customer contractual quality requirements or quality system requirements to Eaton and their suppliers.
  • Act as the liaison during customer/government audits and inspections.
  • Communicate with team, suppliers, customers, and the government regarding all quality related issues.
  • Participate in customer return process to include failure analysis and corrective action
  • Generate inspection check lists, inspection criteria and skip lot for purchased and manufactured parts.
  • Processing of Engineering Change Orders.
  • Responsible for the processing and ensuring the disposition of nonconforming material via the Non-Conforming Reporting system.
  • Generate and communicate customer data packages for shipped product.
  • Analyze and trend quality data within value stream to drive preventive and corrective actions and continuous improvement. (via CAB meetings)
  • Drive continuous improvement by leading Root Cause Problem Solving Projects.
  • Yearly internal audit of the quality related systems and procedures in accordance with the AS9100 standard.
  • Maintain performance management Key Performance Indicators and board and participate in performance management meetings.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.
  • Other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum two (2) years of manufacturing or quality experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Orchard Park, NY facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
