Lead Software Developer (Scala Java Microservices Kotlin) *Remote*. Looking for an impactful and high responsibility role within a hugely successful Fintech? You could be joining a well-known company where you’ll utilise your engineering and leadership skillset to make your mark on a talented development team. The company offers a range of financial investment services to the public via their advanced technology platform which makes smart investing easier and accessible to all.

As a Lead Software Developer you will be leading 5 engineers within a newly defined team that focus solely on execution trading projects and own some of the company’s core trading systems. You will strive to create a high performing engineering team and will provide exceptional line management to help them grow professionally and achieve technical excellence. Some of your duties will include: developing and maintaining non-functional aspects of the trading systems, mentoring team members and guiding their technical careers and defining and improving team processes to optimise efficiency.

The company offices are based in Milan however, you can work remotely anywhere within Europe.

Requirements

• A solid software engineering background ideally using Scala (will also accept Java or Kotlin)
• Experience as a lead providing line management to a technology team
• Good knowledge of Microservices
• An understanding of the trading domain
• Fluent in English
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
