The Supply Planning Specialist for finished goods works with the company’s regional managers and sales teams to ensure efficient product distribution, and is accountable for monitoring growing and inventories, and for coordinating real-time adjustments.Responsibilities: From the Consensus Demand Plan, the role creates finished goods needed to support customers, forecasted demand & inventory stocking requirements.Collaborates with cross functional partners to ensure inventory is managed according to constraints and targets that are aligned with the business strategyAssessing the financial structure and inventory position of the business both at growing, receiving and point of sale locationsAccountable for tracking inventory across multiple locations and ensure compliance in data recording for potting & transfer orders, along with inventory accuracy at the station level.Anticipating demands based on current and future business functions, weather patterns and pre-established distribution plans.Analyzing and anticipating market trends for the best time to transfer inventory.Creating inventory reports and presenting suggestions to the Supply Chain and operations Functions.Ensuring the business has a steady flow of finished goods without overcapitalizing on materials.Suggesting changes to production plan to meet increased or reduced demand.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Detailed knowledge of logistics and inventory management.Advanced mathematical and analytical skills.Ability to identify and anticipate stock levels based on market trends.Ability to write and present detailed inventory reportsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while still maintaining qualityStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate in an efficient/effective mannerAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other personnel and management and ability to work seamlessly with Operations and Sales functionsEnterprise thinker – ability to understand how their work fits into/enhances the broader enterprise objectivesAbility to exercise good judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresCreative problem-solving mindset with and attention to detail and financial responsibilityStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office suiteEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, logistics, business management, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics or supply chain management, including direct experience with statistical analysis and ERP systemsPreferred Qualifications: CPM, CPSM or ASQ certificationsMS NAV experience
