We are seeking a summer intern to join the Biology group in the Therapeutics department to advance our efforts in target discovery in the field of cardiometabolic and other disease areas. Successful candidates will have experience applying biochemical, molecular and cell biology approaches to address biological hypothesis.

What You’ll Do

  • With guidance, Design and perform molecular and cell-based assays for target validation
  • Work with mentor on projects to support target discovery and candidate screening
  • Present and discuss data in team meetings
  • Keep accurate and complete laboratory documentation and electronic files

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous wet lab experience beyond coursework
  • Familiar with cell culture and common biochemical, cell ,and molecular biology techniques such as Western Blots, ELISA & qPCR.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with an ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and driven to learn
  • Currently pursuing MS or PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field.

Strongly Preferred

  • Prior experience designing, validating and optimizing cell-based assays
