Job Summary

DESCRIPTION

Here’s your chance to work as the EMEA Partner Trainer Lead , with high visibility and significant customer impacts and outcomes. You will execute on training programs that include delivering training to partners. Our courses cover various technology & commercial sales training domains such as Machine Learning (ML), Big Data, Serverless Computing, System Architecture, System Operations, Migrations, Cloud Economics, SAP, Microsoft Workloads, Building Your Business.

In this role, you and your team will deliver training to our wide range of partners with varying levels of maturity content to developers, architects, presales, account teams, bid teams, migration teams to drive adoption and usage of AWS services. You will have an opportunity to combine a passion for teaching, with enthusiasm for technology, to drive learning and establish positive partner relationships and training experiences.

The successful candidate is an experienced technical or sales trainer, with hands-on experience using AWS products and services, in-depth knowledge of enterprise/web-scale software architecture, excellent communication skills, with a proven record of developing and retaining top technical trainer talent.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the ongoing strategy and mission of the AWS EMEA Partner training program.
  • Contribute to the thinking of the EMEA Partner Training Leadership and Management team
  • Provide a vision for best practice around Trainer management and work towards that vision
  • Be the voice of the trainers. Raise challenges that need solving and advocate for the trainer community
  • Work closely with content programme teams along with allocation of trainers to assist with content creation/update and curation
  • Work with key vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, effective training content
  • Manage recruitment aligning to ongoing business needs for new trainers across EMEA
  • Manage the onboarding, ramping and ongoing development of trainers to deliver against partner training portfolio
  • Working closely with training coordinators to ensure trainers provide optimal delivery to partners as well as balancing the trainers ongoing development needs

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience in sales, training delivery, cloud development, systems architecture or systems administration
  • 3+ years of experience leading medium sized teams and providing broader leadership to your organisation
  • Held a role where you are seen by your community as an evangelist for skills development
  • Technical degree (i.e. Computer Science) or relevant work experience required
  • Recent experience delivering training, architecting, developing, deploying, or operating Internet scale applications
  • Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with AWS services highly desired

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven record of developing and retaining top technical trainer talent
  • Self-sufficient, self-starter with proven success taking ownership of training projects
  • Excellent oral presentation skills, interpersonal communication, and writing skills
  • A strong “stage presence” and ability to manage a classroom of adult learners
  • Experience designing and developing instructor-led content with technical subject matter content
  • Subject matter experience and experience in at least two of the following:

○ Artificial Intelligence (AI)

○ Bids, cost modelling & business case creation

○ Big Data

○ Containers

○ Consultancy to an advisory level

○ DevOps

○ Internet of Things (IoT)

○ Large scale application or data center migration

○ Machine Learning (ML)

  • Ability to travel within EMEA . Travel will be approximately 50%

If you have previous business and technical training experience, and can communicate foundational to detailed technical & commercial concepts to partner audiences at different stages in the AWS journey, we’d like to speak with you.
