AWS is seeking systems analysts to own and advance a mission critical service in our Dedicated Clouds (ADC).

Our team enables customers to leverage some of the greatest advantages AWS offers via the AWS building and operating of massively distributed file systems and storage solutions. This work requires us to develop processes, procedures, and facilities that allow customers to easily use our products and enable us to meet customer expectations on security and speed.

We’re looking for a Cloud Systems Analyst to join our team and can be based in Arlington, VA, Herndon, VA, or Seattle, WA. Our systems analysts work in a fast-paced environment with our multi-disciplined service teams to deliver cutting-edge services to our customers.

Role

In this role, the candidate will support AWS engineering and operations in Amazons Dedicated Clouds by completing activities including but not limited to

  • Troubleshooting Linux system, network, and/or configuration related issues.
  • Manage and monitoring systems health and status.
  • Identifying, documenting, and communicating engineering and operations recommendations to team members.
  • Writing and disseminating after action reports capturing key events, actions taken, and future mitigation plans.
  • Providing on-call support when necessary.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Arlington, VA: This role will sit in our new headquarters in Northern Virginia, where Amazon will invest $2.5 billion dollars, occupy 4 million square feet of energy efficient office space, and create at least 25,000 new full-time jobs. Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years Systems administration experience (Linux/Windows)
  • 1+ years networking experience (TCP/IP)
  • Troubleshooting/Support experience
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

  • Scripting experience (Bash,Python)
  • Exposure to cloud computing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Industry Relevant Certifications (Linux+, LPIC-1, Network+, A+, Security+)
