Position Description

Airgas National Carbonation, a premier supplier of beverage carbonation in the country, is currently searching for a National Account Manager, that can be based almost anywhere close to a main airport in the United States. This position was developed to support our beverage carbonation sales efforts with restaurant corporate and franchisee locations opportunities. This role will is responsible for the organic and internal growth of a portfolio containing existing and new customers. You will be responsible for enhancing existing partnerships while prospecting and developing new customer relationships. Candidates must have the ability to convert opportunities into long-term Airgas customers through selective and partnership selling.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develops, build and maintain a new business funnel.
  • Sell profitable sales growth to new and existing opportunities.
  • Prepare quotes, supply agreements, customer required reporting along with internal documentation for orders obtained.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal business relationships with Operations.
  • Generate a written territory business plan to correspond with the overall business strategy.
  • Maintain sales activity reports through Excel, Salesforce and Database Software.
  • Overnight travel required to manage sales territory via car and some air travel.
  • Remain flexible to take on other key assignments as requested.

Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in outside sales, pricing or product marketing; industrial gas preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams
  • Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan for robust growth over a 3-5 year time span
  • Must have a strong computer proficiency with Microsoft and Google products, with SAP and Salesforce knowledge preferred.
  • Proven Track record managing multiple priorities requiring organization skills and delegation methods.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Best practice identification, culmination and dissemination.
  • Technical skills in process improvement, administrative direction and efficiencies
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • The ability to travel overnight as required.

Work Environment

The majority of working hours will be in an office setting. Either working independently or meeting with team members and customers in a conference room. Local and national travel to meet clients and visit satellite offices is also required.
