The Admissions Counselor/ Recruiter supports the enrollment efforts of the college by providing admissions information to prospective or newly admitted students, assisting in creating communication materials, and representing the college at on and off campus locations. This position will report to the Director of Admissions & Recruiting.

  • Presents information about the benefits of technical education.
  • Foster and develop relationships with schools, local businesses, community organizations and other areas for recruitment.
  • Communicates with prospective students, parents and community by providing information by telephone, written correspondence and in-person to interested parties regarding applicant procedures and admissions requirements;
  • Receives and enters applications into the student information system;
  • May conduct placement exams for applicants for enrollment;
  • Ensures college and high school transcripts and verifies in-state residency;
  • Remains up-to-date with admissions regulations, policies and procedures;
  • Assists with registration functions;
  • Maintains and audits student records and notify prospective students and applicants with updates to their file including admissions document requirements, programs offered, testing requirements, etc.
  • Assist with the development of enrollment marketing materials publications and communications including letters, brochures, website postings, electronic mail and other mediums.
  • Provides multi-campus support during registration, special events and tours.
  • Works with the Director of Admissions & Recruiting to establish activities with other divisions and departments within the college.
  • Assist in planning and implementing college wide Open Houses.
  • Assist in planning and implementing monthly, multi-campus information sessions.
  • May act as liaison for coordinating educational fairs at local businesses.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

NOTE: APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and Two (2) years of related work experience; Experience in the use of MicroSoft Office Suite Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-to-year basis.
