SRG Stairs is a growing and industry leading construction services company that is currently seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk to join the team.

This position will be responsible for providing transactional, administrative, and clerical support to the accounting department to help ensure optimal transactional efficiency, accuracy, and completeness in accounting related activities.

Key Job Details:

  • $21.00/hour – $24.00/hour!

  • Full time opportunity with a work schedule of Monday thru Friday 7:00am-4:00pm!
  • This position will work in the QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop application, and requires experience using QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop
  • This position will regularly process a relatively high volume of 300-500 AR & AP transactions combined per week

Minimum Required Work Experience, Education & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED;
  • Three years of experience working in a same or similar capacity; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Posts payments, credit card transactions, and other accounting related transactions
  • Processes Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) transactions.
  • Prepares and maintains accounting documents and records
  • Performs general and routine review of accounting reports, documents, and related correspondence to ensure clerical accuracy
  • Keys data and prepares batches for processing which involves sorting, alphabetizing, and verifying counts and totals
  • Reconciles various expenditure reports to source documents
  • Distributes and files financial documents and reports
  • Sorts documents; codes, logs, reviews for accuracy
  • Researches processing problems, contacts departments and vendors to resolve problems; refers complex problems for solution
  • Addresses general and routine accounting related matters and escalates non-routine and complex accounting related matters to the appropriate personnel for further handling
  • Performs general and routine clerical and administrative duties, as assigned, to support workflow continuity and operational efficiency
  • Attends meetings, as required
  • Consistently displays integrity, responsibility, accountability, teamwork, and ethics
  • Performs assigned job duties and responsibilities in accordance with established performance expectations, as well as with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Demonstrates proficient working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as database systems and applications relevant to the job function.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

This position requires frequent sitting, walking, standing, reading, seeing, speaking, hearing, listening, organizing, interpreting data and information, operating office equipment, typing using a computer keyboard, viewing a computer screen monitor, and use of a telephone, including cellular phone. The working environment consists of an indoor and climate-controlled setting the majority of the time.
