Sky Studios’ In-House Drama Head of Development will build and advance a development slate for one of Britain’s most prolific and acclaimed platforms and work with some of the drama community’s greatest creative talents.

What You’ll Do

  • Generating new drama projects for the Sky Studios In-House Drama slate in collaboration with and reporting to the Creative Director
  • Identifying opportunities for development and co-production in line with the strategy of the department
  • Nurturing new and existing talent relationships and bringing your own relationships and contacts to the team
  • Proactively source untapped talent, networks and storytelling forms
  • Managing the book scout and a development team
  • Representing the team to the industry and communicating its strategy to agents, talent and potential collaborators
  • Editorially steering projects from initiation through the development process and beyond into production and delivery

What You’ll Bring

  • A deep and wide knowledge of the British drama landscape and strong existing relationships with creatives, the agent community and international drama producers and broadcasters
  • Experience leading projects through to greenlight stage and beyond in both development and production
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A pro-active, self-starting attitude
  • Experience in leading and developing a team

Your office base:

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
