About the job

The Quantitative Analytics team is looking for a product developer with financial knowledge and technical skill to share ownership of the Quant application suite. The product suite includes Alpha Testing, a backtesting application for factor strategies, and the supporting productivity tools, Formula Development Environment, Quant Scheduler and Quant Model Manager.

As a Product Specialist, you will become an expert in the use of our Quant applications as well as on the technical infrastructure and content which drives them. You will lead development projects related to factor construction and fixed income factor analysis, and you will provide 3rd level client support for challenging client requests and questions. You will work with engineers, sales specialists, other product development teams and clients to coordinate priorities and maintain product excellence.


  • Define requirements, plan the execution and verify features related to a new factor construction application.
  • Support the addition of fixed Income factor analysis in Alpha Testing
  • Identify opportunities to improve client workflows by monitoring usage, requests and soliciting client feedback.
  • Assist Sales as necessary with retention, expansion, and new opportunities
  • Provide 3rd level support for complex requests and troubleshooting as a subject matter expert on the Quant applications.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 1-3 years of related industry experience
  • Attention to detail to ensure high quality products
  • Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm, strong sense of initiative, and a desire to take ownership of project work in an iterative development environment
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Desired Attributes

  • Solid understanding of financial concepts and enthusiasm for the investment process
  • Comfortable with descriptive statistics and data analysis
  • Experience troubleshooting technical systems
  • Curiosity to improve products by solving problems
  • Previous experience using FactSet, Bloomberg, or Refinitiv
  • Interest in learning new technologies and how multiple systems work together
  • Understanding of Product Development best practices, including Agile development, SDLC, User Stories and Acceptance criteria, and product release best practices
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members in other offices
